 Quality Policy
The quality policy is as follows:
As an integral part of its core values, Pakistan Oilfields Limited strongly believes that quality and an unyielding commitment to continuous improvement are indispensable ingredients to achieving success. The Company recognizes that quality has to be managed – it will not just happen; accordingly quality management shall be applied to every aspect of our operations and quality is the responsibility of each employee of the Company, irrespective of grade, function or standing.

In this respect, the Company remains committed to complying with the requirements of the ISO 9001-2000 standard and shall continuously strive to improve the effectiveness of its Quality Management System.

The objective of the Company’s Quality Management System is to ensure that all tasks are completed consistently to acceptable quality standards which meet the requirements of our business. To achieve this, the Company shall:

a) set clear, specific, measurable and comprehensive quality standards so that each employee has a clear and shared understanding of the standards required. Factors to be taken into account while setting these standards shall include the quality expected by our customers, the costs and benefits of delivering different degrees of quality and the impact of different degrees of quality on customers and their needs, contribution to departmental objectives and employee motivation.
b) smeet the quality standards by documenting procedures and methods to meet the standards, documenting controls to ensure that standards are met, documenting responsibilities through comprehensive job descriptions and preparing and implementing training plans for employees to ensure they are familiar with their responsibilities as well as quality standards, quality procedures and quality controls.
c) track quality by setting up an information system to monitor quality.
d) take prompt action to improve quality in problem areas identified through the information system.
The Company will provide an environment conducive to the achievement of quality objectives by:
a) focusing on the process first and then on the result with the aim that getting a process right will ultimately lead in an improved result. Improving a process without worrying about short term effects will encourage the search for improvement to take place and the improvement will more likely be permanent in nature.
b) encouraging free and multi-way communication
c) urging employees to come up with innovative ideas and solutions. The Company will support any initiatives which challenge the status quo with an objective to improving quality.
d) demonstrating real and absolute commitment to continuous improvement.
